My name is Amanda. I am a poet, professor, and coach (more mystical than motivational). My practice The Narrated Life focuses on the power of story in our healing journey, mind body soul. We often unconsciously tell and consume stories that are keeping us stuck. My practice uses a variety of modalities to help you live the story you desire.
I believe that stories, poetry, mythology can save our lives, I know this personally and I see it nearly everyday. We are storytelling beings, we live and we tell stories to make sense of being on this spinning rock and conscious of death. It is synonymous with being human.
Your life is a collection of stories, and if Mary Oliver is right that we have “one wild and precious life”, my goodness I want us to collect the best ones possible.
The goal at The WellBeing BookClub is to foster a community of readers who take their reading to a new level—for self-healing, growth, and emotional maturity. Stories can *save us time, *make us feel less alone, *help us find our purpose, *increases empathy, *gives us self-awareness. This is the way we will discuss the intersection of reading and healing.
For those us into wellness, into growth, into reading, and into art, this is our place to connect and discuss. So thankfull for readers, we just do it better.
